The Highland Park 21 Year Old "The Kinship" (Edition No. 1) is an exceptional Independent Bottling (IB) curated by legendary father-and-son bottlers Stewart and Andrew Laing of Hunter Laing & Co. Released exclusively to celebrate the Fèis Ìle 2018 (the Islay Festival of Music and Malt), this bottle holds special historical significance. While the Kinship series is traditionally focused heavily on Islay distilleries, this Highland Park was included as "Edition No. 1" to celebrate a momentous occasion for the Laing family: the completion and grand opening of their very own Islay distillery, Ardnahoe.

It opens with an abundance of ripe orchard fruits (stewed apricots, green apples, peaches) juxtaposed against Highland Park’s textbook floral notes of wild Orkney heather. Floating right beneath the surface is a distinct maritime element—coastal air and sea salt.

The peat smoke lingers softly, evolving into a sweet, dry finale defined by rich heather-honey and a whisper of dry oak tannins.
