    Dallas Dhu had a turbulent history of fires, closures, and economic setbacks before being permanently closed by corporate owners DCL (now Diageo) in 1983 during the infamous "Whisky Loch" overproduction crash. 
    It opens with classic old-school markers—beeswax, warm pastry crust, and a touch of library dust. As it breathes, it throws out a massive wave of orchard fruits: stewed apples, ripe pears, apricot jam, and a touch of warm cinnamon roll.
