HIGHLAND PARK - SINGLE MALT - OB - "THE LIGHT"

Following the late-2017 release of The Dark (which focused on winter, darkness, and European oak sherry casks), The Light was crafted to celebrate the spring and summer seasons in Orkney - when the island emerges from winter hibernation into long, bright days. To reflect this, the liquid was matured exclusively in refill American oak casks to let the distillery's natural fruit and delicate heather-peat characteristics shine through.

It opens with vibrant notes of orchard fruits (ripe pears, crisp green apples, gooseberries) and sweet orange blossom water. Beneath the fruit sits soft vanilla, floral heather honey, and a light dusting of oak shavings.
