MORTLACH - SINGLE MALT - IB - MOON IMPORT "MONGIARDINO DREAMS SERIES"

This bottling is actually a historic, powerhouse collaboration between two iconic standard-bearers of the Italian independent movement: Pepi Mongiardino (founder of Moon Import) and Silvano Samaroli (the most revered independent selector in Scotch history).

It opens with bright top notes of beeswax, lemon rind, and crisp orchard fruits (green apples and pears), which quickly deepen into classic old-school Mortlach elements of antique leather, dried tobacco leaves, a faint farmy musk, and a trace of dunnage earth.

It leaves behind an echo of drying oak tannins, white pepper, and a lingering, waxy citrus rind oiliness.
