Glen Ord distillery as the main engine driving Diageo’s highly successful The Singleton of Glen Ord brand. This particular expression comes from the era when the Distillers Company Limited (DCL) assigned the distillery’s marketing license to Glasgow blenders Peter Dawson Ltd.

It opens with an initial burst of dusty dunnage warehouse floors, cardboard boxes, and honeyed paraffin wax. As it sits in the glass, sweet porridge oats, dried straw, malted milk biscuits, and a delicate touch of overripe yellow pears float forward.

It trails off with a satisfying, dry footprint of drying old oak wood, white pepper, and a lingering, sweet maltiness.
