During the 1970s, John & Robert Harvey acted as the official blenders/bottlers managing Aultmore's releases under Distillers Company Limited (DCL) ownership. 

Back in the 1970s, European markets. particularly in Italy, had a massive appetite for young, vibrant, and lighter single malts, which is why a 5-year-old official release existed.
