Released primarily during the 1980s under Gordon & MacPhail’s revered "Old Brown Label" banner, this expression is a massive collector's prize. Independent bottlings of Glenkinchie from the 1960s are nearly impossible to find today, as almost the entire output of the distillery during this era was locked away to provide the light, grassy, and aromatic spine for the Johnnie Walker and Haig blending houses.

It opens with aromas of paraffin wax, dried meadow grass, and pressed wildflowers, which slowly give way to chamomile tea, clover honey, candied lemon peel, and an undercurrent of polished oak furniture and old paper.

It leaves a trailing, elegant footprint of drying European oak wood tannins, white tea leaves, and a lingering, pleasant waxiness.
