The Aberfeldy 1969 (17 Year Old) Gordon & MacPhail "Connoisseurs Choice" is the rarest chronological variant pulled from G&M's 1969 vintage stocks. While the 15-year-old and 16-year-old variants from this exact same distillation year are slightly more common at auction, this 17-year-old edition represents the absolute final portion of those specific late-1960s casks, bottled just as the "Brown Label" era was hitting its stride in the mid-1980s.

It opens with distinct notes of candle wax, paraffin, and a touch of antique furniture polish. As it breathes, it reveals Aberfeldy’s signature note of heavy heather honey, alongside soft caramel, fresh malted barley, sweet apples, and orange peel.
