BRUICHLADDICH - SINGLE MALT - IB - HIGH SPIRITS COLLECTION "LOCHS AND CASTLES OF SCOTLAND NO.11" CASK #1560 MAGNUM
High Spirits is a highly respected boutique Italian independent bottler founded by Nadi Fiori in Rimini. Renowned for selecting casks that display extreme elegance rather than raw power, Fiori launched the highly aesthetic "Lochs & Castles of Scotland" series to marry elite single-cask Scotch with watercolor-style landscape portraits highlighting Scotland's historic geography. Because Magnums have a vastly superior liquid-to-air surface ratio compared to standard bottles, they are viewed by spirits investors as the ultimate vehicle for flawless, long-term liquid preservation.
It opens with an initial wave of old library floor wax, sweet meadow honey, and line-dried linen. As it sits, it reveals complex notes of overripe peaches, yellow apples, lemon curd, and a distinct, breezy sea-salt air. It leaves a trailing echo of dry European oak tannins, coastal salinity, and a highly pleasant, lingering glaze of waxy citrus oils.
