While Moon Import launched its legendary, themed art series ("The Costumes," "The Birds," "The Animals") in the late 1980s, Mongiardino marked the 10th Anniversary of his company (1980–1990) by releasing specific, elite vintage stock that had been quietly sleeping since the mid-1960s.

It opens with classic elements of old grain—furniture polish, sweet varnish, and old book dust—which immediately shift into a massive sherry profile. Notes of dark chocolate truffles, espresso dregs, and rancio (walnuts and damp earth) meld beautifully with overripe plums and dark cherries.
