Millburn was a historic Inverness distillery that was completely dismantled and closed forever in 1985. Because its production lifespan was cut short, official bottlings are virtually non-existent. Independent releases like this 1966 vintage from Gordon & MacPhail are the primary reason whisky enthusiasts are still able to taste this lost Inverness malt today.

It gives aromas of old wax paper, dunnage warehouse dampness, and dried lemon peel are balanced by a distinct, rustic sootiness. There are underlying notes of dried apricots, old leather, and a faint hint of herbal mint. It leaves a lingering impression of soot, white pepper, and a waxy, mouth-coating oiliness.
