The Rosebank 1970s Bottling by George Strachan Ltd, imported to Italy by Sestante, Mainardi launched his legendary Sestante independent bottling brand in 1985, he began his career in the 1970s importing exceptional whiskies into Italy. Mainardi discovered George Strachan Ltd—a historic general merchant shop based in Aboyne that quiet-bottled extraordinarily old parcels of single malt. Mainardi hand-selected and imported these Strachan dumpy-style bottles specifically for the high-end Italian market,

It opens with rich aromas of beeswax, old leather furniture polish, and dried chamomile flowers, layered over lemon curd, dried apricot strips, and a beautiful, gentle dunnage warehouse earthiness. It leaves behind an echo of drying antique oak tannins, a light citrus oil coating, and old-school vanilla shortbread.
