It showcases vintage Edradour distillate long before the distillery was purchased by Signatory Vintage and retooled into its modern sherry-heavy profile. Following the massive success of his "The Costumes" and "The Birds" collections, Pepi Mongiardino launched The Animals series across 1989 and 1990. Like his other legendary lines, the label artwork was entirely sourced from a historical 18th-century German scientific encyclopedia.

It opens with an unmistakable old-school waxy baseline, alongside library dust, paraffin, and a touch of flint. As it breathes, it gives way to a highly unique mix of farmyard hay, herbal tea, dried heather flowers, lemon oil, and a very faint, nostalgic hint of old dunnage floors.
